Leslie Cook
About Me
Leslie Cook holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design from Virginia Tech and is a Virginia-based designer. She's been working full-time in the field since 2003 (freelance since 1997) for companies including, but not limited to; Washington National Opera (Falstaff Look-in), American Opera Theatre (Venus and Adonis, Dido and Aeneas), Signature Theatre (Un-american), Wolf Trap Opera and Boston Lyric Opera (Asst. Design: The Inspector), and National Geographic Television (Treasures of Afghanistan). She was Resident Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager for Endstation Theatre Company for four seasons (Ring of Fire, The Whipping Man, Buddy et al) and received an Richmond Theatre Critics Circle nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design for Preludes at Firehouse Theatre. She has been teaching at Longwood University (tenured 2019), Resident Costume Designer, and running the Costume Shop since 2012.
